The Light...

Yesterday was a very difficult day. There were lots of tears. Rather than reflect on the negative am choosing the positive, because with God all things are possible.

I held in my hand two Ethiopian passports with us visas for two little girls heading to Milwaukee to their home away from their homeland of Ethiopia. A long flight ahead, the little one said in Amharic...airplane...america? Precious little one trying to grasp the magnitude of the flight ahead. What a gift that was in a very challenging day.

I spend lots of time yesterday with the Ethiopian staff here at the guest home discussing the region and tribe that our little one is from. I also discussed the other side of adoption that I do not see but want to understand, that of the birthparent. It is so tragic. The strength that these parents and remaining parents have to give their children to a system in hopes of a better life. Breaks my heart for these families.

We are off to spend the day exploring. We have not done much of this. Probably should have but have been wrapped up in the details. So we are heading to mt. Enoto and out to lunch with a few shopping stops along the way.

Tomorrow is Sunday...the court..then visit Joshua...then home. Long flight but oh a shower!!!!
